Engineering, procurement and construction for solar PV and battery storage.
Seven interlocking services, from first site visit to year-30 maintenance, delivered by one in-house engineering team.

MV substations, reticulation and grid connection
On mines, heavy industrial sites and large commercial properties, the solar plant is only one part of the job. We build the intake substations, 33 kV and 11 kV reticulation, transformers, protection and metering around the plant, and integrate PV with storage and generators under a single energy management system.
- MV and HV substations, reticulation and switchgear
- Transformers, protection and metering
- Grid impact, load flow, short-circuit and dynamic studies
- Grid code compliance strategy and testing
- Regulator registration: NERSA (South Africa), ZERA (Zimbabwe), ESERA (Eswatini)
- Utility connection applications and agreements: Eskom, ZETDC, EEC
- Commissioning, plant controller and SCADA integration with the client's energy management system
Approvals and long-lead equipment (HV transformers and switchgear) govern the programme, so permitting runs in parallel with design and long-lead items are released early.

Concept feasibility study
For clients at an early stage we offer a fixed-scope concept feasibility study, typically completed in six weeks by our own engineering team. The deliverable is a single report: conceptual layouts, design basis, load compatibility findings, cost and schedule drivers, a ranked risk register and a defined list of the information required to advance to detailed feasibility. A second engineer reviews every report before issue.
- Week 1 · Mobilisation and data collection: Kick-off and structured data request (site extent, load profile, single line diagram, intake substation)
- Weeks 1–3 · Conceptual design: Equipment selection, DC:AC ratio, block architecture, point of connection, preliminary yield model
- Week 3 · Gap register: Each missing input listed with the assumption adopted and its design sensitivity
- Weeks 3–5 · Load compatibility: Generation profile against the operational load; self-consumption, curtailment and storage requirement
- Weeks 4–5 · Cost, schedule, risk and layouts: Capital and operating cost drivers, long-lead items, permitting and grid dependencies, a ranked risk register and the site layout.
- Week 6 · Reporting: Second-engineer review, draft, client comments, final issue

How we deliver a project
The engineering team that produces the feasibility study carries the project through design, construction and commissioning into operation, with single-point accountability and no consultant-to-contractor handover.
- 1 Feasibility and development: Concept design, yield modelling, load compatibility, grid interface, cost and schedule drivers and a ranked risk register.
- 2 Detailed design and engineering: Construction-issue design reviewed and signed off before any component is ordered.
- 3 Permitting and grid connection: Run in parallel with design.
- 4 Procurement: Long-lead items released early; cross-border shipping, customs and logistics managed by our own team.
- 5 Site establishment and civil works: Client induction, permit-to-work and access systems before any work begins.
- 6 Mechanical and electrical installation: Sequenced by block so commissioning can start on completed sections.
- 7 Commissioning and energisation: Testing, SCADA integration, utility witnessing, performance verified against modelled yield.
- 8 Handover and operation: As-built drawings, commissioning records, Certificates of Compliance, warranties, monitoring access, then long-term O&M.
Timings are typical for rooftop systems with a low-voltage connection. Multi-megawatt, medium-voltage and battery projects run longer: the programme is set per project and depends on utility and NERSA approvals and on equipment lead times.
