High buildings, salt air, and a second installation for the same client.
The brief
Supply both Virgin Active Ballito and the adjacent McDonald's from a building that rises 18 metres in sections, on the coast.
What we built
A 290 kWp grid-tied system installed under strict high-access working procedures throughout. Every component was specified for the coastal environment, to withstand the corrosive effect of salt-laden air over the long term. Rooftop walkways were installed for safe, efficient access during operation and maintenance.
The result
Commissioned in December 2024.
