The project
Ndwedwe was Sunbird's first installation supplying a Boxer store directly, and it set the standard for how Sunbird approaches security-sensitive, logistically challenging rural sites.
The brief
A remote, high-risk site where there is no room for error.
What we built
A 246.4 kWp rooftop system. Electric fencing, a dedicated inverter room, and four high-specification CCTV cameras with 24/7 armed-response monitoring were all incorporated into the project scope.
The result
Commissioned in November 2022, the first of four Boxer installations Sunbird has delivered across rural KwaZulu-Natal.
