The project
At 2,074 kWp, the Ballito Lifestyle Centre installation is the largest solar system in Ballito, built to match the scale of one of the Dolphin Coast's most prominent retail destinations.
The brief
A large, multi-roof retail centre with existing generator back-up needed a solar system that would integrate with that infrastructure and remain easy to operate and maintain for decades.
What we built
A 2,074 kWp grid-tied system with full generator integration across five LV connections. The scope included bespoke air-conditioned inverter rooms, access ladders and rooftop walkways, every detail engineered for performance and long-term operability.
The result
The system was commissioned in June 2024. Following its completion, the same client awarded Sunbird two further installations.
