The project
Proud Acres is a poultry farm in an area with a well-earned reputation for unreliable grid supply, where a power failure puts livestock and revenue at risk.
The brief
An energy system that can handle everything the grid throws at it, without manual intervention.
What we built
A fully autonomous system: 179 kWp of solar PV, a 322 kWh battery energy storage system, and generator integration with automatic switchover logic.
The result
The battery carries the farm through unplanned outages and load-shedding events, and reduces costs during peak time-of-use tariff periods. The system was commissioned in January 2024.
