Sunbird Solar delivers solar, battery storage and medium-voltage infrastructure for operating mines and quarries.

Projects include 10 MWh of battery storage at Idwala, 628 kWp at NCM in Boksburg, and 5 MWp with 10 MWh in construction at RAN Mines, Bindura.

What these sites need

Operating-mine safety: Work planned around live mining operations and site safety systems.
MV integration: Medium-voltage reticulation and connection to the mine's network.
Generator and BESS hybrids: Solar, storage and generators run as one system.
Cross-border procurement: Equipment supplied to sites in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
