The project
Phoenix was not a solar project. It was a full-scale energy infrastructure overhaul — and one of the most technically complex commissions we have ever taken on. Across two phases, Sunbird was responsible for civil works, 2,463 kWp of solar PV (Phase 1: 1,445 kWp; Phase 2: 1,018 kWp), 1,800 kW of inverter output, four 750 kVA generators, a 1,000 litre fuel tank, a 3 MVA transformer and new Premset primary switchgear for the bulk incomer.
Every element of this project had to be coordinated with precision. Power systems of this scale carry zero tolerance for error — in design, in sequencing, or in execution. Our team delivered on all three.
