Shelly Centre
A 1,280 kWp plant specified for one of the harshest corrosion environments a solar system can face.

- Solar PV
- 1,280 kWp
The project
Shelly Centre stands a few hundred metres from the Indian Ocean. Salt-laden air places the site in corrosion category C5, the most aggressive environment a solar plant is designed for, where every bolt, bracket and enclosure is under constant attack.
We designed for that from the first drawing. Every component was specified for coastal exposure, and the inverters and switchgear sit in a purpose-built inverter room rather than on an exposed roof, where they operate in a controlled environment for the life of the plant.
The result is a 1,280 kWp system engineered for its full service life, not its first few years.
