The project
At Falls Centre, solar did not just cut the electricity bill; it created an entirely new revenue stream.
The brief
Supply a retail centre and the adjacent BP fuel station, and give the landlord a way to recover the value of solar from tenants.
What we built
Two separate installations, 193 kWp for Falls Centre and 32 kWp for the BP fuel station, both grid-tied with generator integration. Sunbird also installed a three-phase billing-grade meter with software that automatically generates monthly invoices from the landlord to tenants, based on solar consumption.
The result
Commissioned in March 2024, the system reduces costs and generates tenant revenue for the landlord.
